Student Life

NOT JUST A CLASSROOM

In addition to quality education, Gateway offers a variety of cultural, social, and learning opportunities. At Gateway you can build a network of friends by participating in one of our student organizations, represent your fellow students as a member of the Student Government Association or learn about continuing your education after Gateway by attending transfer fairs.

At Gateway, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to get involved, get inspired, and have fun outside of the classroom.

Activities and Clubs

Explore your passions, try something new, and meet a whole new group of friends. Gateway offers a wide variety of clubs and organizations, from academic clubs to sports teams to music groups, so you’re sure to find something that sparks your interests.

Gateway events

Every Wednesday Gateway hosts a student activity period on our Edgewood campus. Learn more about upcoming activity periods here.

Check out other events we're hosting, virtually and in-person, here.

Student Support

At Gateway, we’re here for you every step of the way. We offer everything from tutoring to accessibility services to career development. Whether you want to improve your writing skills or need help finding a job, we’ve got you covered!

Other Ways to Get Involved

Gateway student clubs and activities offer you different kinds of opportunities to get involved on campus or in the community. Learn more about these clubs and activities in the student handbook.

Involvement in student organizations and clubs can provide you with growth and experience, both personally and professionally, that you just can't learn in a classroom. By actively participating, you can gain important leadership and social skills that can help you in every aspect of life. Plus, getting involved can also mean having a lot of fun!
