Submit your work!
Voices Literary Magazine, a Gateway College student publication for our students by our students. Our magazine is open for submissions from Gateway Students only.
Call for Submissions: August 1–March 1 every academic year.
Submission Guidelines:
- Poetry: single page, 12pt, double-spaced in a Microsoft Word document
- Short Fiction: up to 1,000 words max in a Microsoft Word document
- Essays: 1,000 words max in a Microsoft Word document
- Black & White Art & Photography as a JPEG file
You may submit up to three times in each category. All submissions must be your own original work and be submitted in the correct format referenced above.
Your submission will be reviewed according to this timeline:
- March 1 - Deadline for all submissions of poetry, short fiction, essays, Black & White photography, and Black & White Art.
- March 2 - Judging of entries and editing begins.
- Late March - Students are notified via email if their submissions have been accepted for the magazine.
If your work is published..etc. to: If your work is published, you will be invited
to the annual award and release party in April or early May where you will be honored
with an award and will receive copies of the magazine with your published work.
