Medical Aide - Certification

The Medicaid Nurse Aide and Kentucky Medication Aide programs require a criminal background check with the approved vendor, Kentucky Adult Caregiver Misconduct Registry check, and proof of vaccinations/titers (Hep B). Additionally, annual 2-step tuberculosis screening and proof of vaccination for Covid-19 are required for clinical placement. More information will be discussed with the Program Coordinator at the required time for completion.

Certificate requirements:  Six (6) months of work experience must be completed in the past 2 years as State Registered Medicaid Nurse Aide and Consent of Instructor after any developmental needs are met.
