Notes

  • The HIT Coding Certificate courses are online, but you are expected to attend 4 mandatory virtual classes. You will have the dates for these classes when you enroll.
  • The HIT Coding Certificate program requires a criminal background check with the approved vendor, proof of vaccinations/titers (Hep B, Tdap, MMR, and Varicella). Additionally, annual tuberculosis screening, and proof of vaccination for Covid-19 and Seasonal Flu may be required for clinical placement. More information will be discussed with the Program Coordinator at the required time for completion.
  • Progression in the program is contingent upon achievement of a grade C or greater in each course and maintenance of a 2.0 cumulative GPA or above (on a 4.0 scale).
  • At least 25 percent of the approved curriculum for any certificate, diploma or degree must be completed at the student’s home college.
