Student Support Group Form

Please fill out the following form if you are interested in participating in a student support group (information provided by students is confidential with the Counseling Department).

Support Group Descriptions

Moving Forward Group (Substance Use):

Connecting with others who know what you're going through can help reduce feelings of loneliness and fear. This group will help in making life changes in order to break the cycle of substance abuse and to reverse the damage caused by substance abuse.

Parenting Group:

This parenting group is open to all parents/guardians to gain informal mutual support and opportunities to discuss parenting challenges and strategies.

Self-Esteem Group:

A weekly support group providing emotional support and guidance in developing assertiveness and stronger self-esteem. The group provides an opportunity for students to sort out feelings in a safe and confidential setting.

Domestic Violence:

For any person in the community who has dealt with, or is dealing with, domestic violence. Not only is it an opportunity to meet with others in a safe and supportive environment, but also an opportunity to gain information on how to better cope with feelings and experiences that surface because of domestic violence issues.
