Ready to graduate?
Gateway awards degrees, diplomas and certificates each semester. Applications are required for each degree and diploma you are earning. Certificates are awarded at the end of each semester and do not require an application.
Meet with your academic advisor before you complete the application to confirm you are eligible to graduate.
Make an appointment with your assigned academic advisor by logging into your self-service account from MyPath then click on the Student Center tile.
Your assigned advisor is listed in the right-hand column.
To schedule an appointment, email your advisor and they’ll send you a link to their scheduling options.
Please fill out your Graduation Application on a laptop or desktop computer only. Mobile devices can cause errors in submission.
Deadlines to Apply for your Degree/Credential:
Fall: November 1
Spring: April 1
Summer: July 1

Once you submit your application for your degree, the Records Office staff will review all documentation. Graduation applications are finalized after grades are posted at the end of the semester (mid-December, mid-May, and mid-August). Once the process is completed, awards and denial notifications will be sent to your KCTCS email address.
Degrees/Credentials will be mailed to the address on file within 10-12 weeks from the end of the semester. You can update your mailing address in your Student Center under the Personal Information section. Find instructions here.
Do you want to participate in Gateway's annual commencement ceremony in May of each year? Graduates from the Spring, Summer, and Fall are welcome to invite their friends and family to celebrate their accomplishment of graduating from college!
