Ready to graduate?

At the end of each semester, students are able to apply for the credential(s) that they have earned. Gateway awards certificates, diplomas and associate degrees. Certificates are awarded while you continue with degree progress.

Meet with your academic advisor to complete the application for your graduation.

Step 2:

Deadlines to Apply for your Degree/Credential:

Fall: November 1
Spring: April 1
Summer: July 1

Apply for your Degree/Credential

Step 3:

Once you submit your application for your degree/credential, the Records Office staff will review all documentation. Graduation applications are finalized after grades are posted at the end of the semester. Degree/Credential awards and denial notifications will be sent to your KCTCS email address.

Degrees/Credentials will be ready for pick up at the Edgewood campus within 10-12 weeks from the end of the semester. Students will receive email notification when their credential is ready for pick up.

Want to participate in Gateway's annual commencement ceremony that happens during May of each year? Graduates from the Spring and Fall are welcome to invite their friends and family to celebrate their accomplishment of graduating from college!

Credential Reprints

In order to have a credential reprinted, please complete the Credential Reprint Request Form. Your credential request will be part of the credential order for that semester and may take 8-10 weeks after the end of the semester for your credential(s) to be sent to you. Unless otherwise specified, your credential reprints will be mailed to the address we have for you in PeopleSoft.
