At the end of each semester, students are able to apply for the credential(s) that they have earned. Gateway awards certificates, diplomas and associate degrees. Please meet with your academic advisor to complete the application for your degree/credential.
Your earned certificate, diploma or degree is very valuable when seeking employment and building your resume. It demonstrates a skill set and a personal achievement you can be proud of.
Certificates and diplomas can be awarded while you continue with degree progress.
Applications are required for each degree or diploma you are earning. Certificates are awarded at the end of each semester and do not require an application.
Deadlines to Apply for your Credential:
- Fall: November 1
- Spring: April 1
- Summer: July 1
Please fill out your Graduation Application on a laptop or desktop computer only. Mobile devices can cause errors in submission.
Graduates Don't Forget! You must complete the Gateway Exit Survey, and use password Congrats

In order to have a credential reprinted, please complete contact us at GW-StudentRecords@kctcs.edu or by phone (859) 442-1129. Your credential request will be part of the credential order for that semester and may take 8-10 weeks after the end of the semester for your credential(s) to be sent to you. Unless otherwise specified, your credential reprints will be mailed to the address we have for you in PeopleSoft.
