What is Trio - Project ASPIRE?

TRIO - Project ASPIRE (Academic Support Program to Increase Retention in Education) is a federally funded program that helps students succeed in college. 

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

To be eligible for TRIO (per federal regulations) students must fit into at least one of these categories and meet US residency requirements:

  • First-generation college student (neither parent/guardian has a 4-year degree)
  • Income eligible student (family meets Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines)
  • Have a documented disability

  • 4-year university campus visits
  • Help navigating the college process
  • A place to study with free printing
  • Success coaching and academic counseling
  • Educational enrichment field trips
  • Help with applying for Financial Aid and scholarships
  • Advice in choosing your major
  • Transfer help for students wanting to pursue a 4-year degree
  • Workshops on topics such as time management and study skills
  • Community with other TRIO students

WHERE TO FIND US:

The TRIO suite is located on our Edgewood Campus (790 Thomas More Parkway, Edgewood, KY 41017). We are in the Student Service Center (SCC) building in Room E211.
