
River City Promise

Students graduating from Bellevue, Dayton, Holmes, Lloyd, Ludlow, and Newport High Schools in Kentucky after May 2020 are eligible for the River City Promise Program. Federal Pell eligible students will receive a scholarship to cover tuition. It is renewable for up to 12 semesters or six years.

Eligibility requirements:
Getting Started at Gateway
- Graduate of Bellevue, Dayton, Holmes, Lloyd, Ludlow, or Newport High Schools after May 2020
- Enrolled at Gateway the semester following High School graduation
- Completion of the FAFSA
- Be Federal Pell Grant eligible
- Complete the Gateway2NKU application
Maintaining Eligibility at Gateway
- Remain continuously enrolled every fall and spring semester leading up to graduation
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and good academic standing
- Completion of the FAFSA annually and maintain Pell Grant eligibility
Transferring to NKU
- Graduate of Gateway in an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in Applied Science degree program
- Enroll at NKU directly the semester following Gateway graduation
- Enrolled full-time (earn minimum 12 hours a semester) upon transfer to NKU
- Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and good academic standing
- Completion of the FAFSA annually and maintain Pell Grant eligibility
