
First Class To Graduate From Warehouse & Transportation Job Training Program

WHAT: Participants will graduate from the first LIFT (Logistics, Inventory Management, Facilities Management and Transportation) the TriState class. The program is designed to train unemployed and underemployed individuals for work in the transportation and warehouse industry.

Description: On Friday, October 13, nine participants will graduate from the first LIFT the TriState class. A ceremony will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Convening Center at the Gateway Community & Technical College, Boone Campus.
Over the past 12 weeks, LIFT participants have received classroom instructions, soft skill exercises and hands-on experience to prepare them for work in the transportation and warehouse industry; specifically distribution, material handling, warehouse management, and contexts involving food and hazardous materials.
LIFT the TriState is a collaboration amongst the Freestore Foodbank, BelFlex Staffing Network, Life Learning Center and Gateway Community & Technical College. The McCaw Family Charitable Fund, the Kentucky Education & Workforce Development Cabinet’s Work Ready Skills Initiative, the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and anonymous supporters help to fund the program.
