Gateway students honor Veterans with free services

Gateway Community & Technical Colleges Emerge Hair Studio amp; Spa will honor veterans, active military and first responders Nov. 9-11, at Gateway's student run enterprise, Emerge, at 438 Scott Boulevard, Covington.

We are grateful for the service veterans, active military and first responders provide to our country and community, said Dr. Fernando Figueroa, Gateway president. I applaud the students, staff and faculty at Emerge for honoring them in this way.

All active military, veterans and first responder will receive a complimentary haircut by a Gateway student Nov. 9-11. In addition, on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, they may receive a free chair massage at Emerge. Participants are asked to show an ID.

Emerge will offer these services Wednesday from 1-7 p.m. and Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. 4 p.m. Emerge will offer chair massages only on Friday.

Gateway, named by Military Times as a top 20 Best for Vets college three years in a row, and recently a Military Friendly employer, values the service and experience of those who have served our country.
