Gateway Offers Energy Auditor Training

The Workforce Solutions Division of Gateway Community and Technical College will offer an energy auditor training course in July at the colleges Covington Campus at 1025 Amsterdam Road.

The course prepares participants to take the Building Analyst Certification exam through the Building Performance Institute. All training is approved by BPI. The course provides classroom and hands-on instruction in building science, building assessment skills, diagnosing air leakage, heating and cooling systems, the building shell and durable healthy homes. Topics also include water heating and base load, computerized energy audit software programs, and thermal imaging.

Tuition is $1,450 per person for the weeklong course that takes place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 11-15. The class is limited to 12 participants. Deadline to register is Friday, July 1. Kentucky employers paying for an employee to attend may be eligible for state funding to offset costs.
