Paramedic Application Confirmation
Your application to Gateway's Parademic program has been received.
For your application to be complete: Please ensure that you have applied to and have been accepted to Gateway Community & Technical College. Once you have applied and been accepted, you will need to submit your ACT scores and/or take the TABE 9/10-A/KYOTE test. In order for your application to be considered, you must provide copies of your CPR card, EMT certification, and Driver's License.
Once accepted into the program, you will need the following:
- Immunizations which include: MMR vaccine or titer, Hepatitis B, TDaP (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertusis), Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or titer, and Flu vaccine (prior to entering clinical in the fall). Immunizations are not optional, all immunizations are a requirement of the program.
- Current TB skin test
- Physical Examination form signed by a Physician stating that applicant can perform necessary duties
- Background Check (Performed through a specific third-party company. More information after acceptance)
- Meet with Program Coordinator, Mike Harris
The admission process consists of a detailed application review. Applicants will be notified of program acceptance after prerequisites are met. If you are currently working on prerequisites, please keep the program coordinator up to date on your progress.
