Apprenticeship Academy

Gateway's Apprenticeship Academy is a unique work and learn opportunity for students interested in exploring a registered apprenticeship program in a technical field.

year one

In year one of the program students identify their natural talents and interests while taking foundational classes that lead to multiple technical pathways. Students experience different work environments to help best match them with employers and career pathways that align with their talents and interests.  

year two

Year two of the program incorporates on the job experience with targeted coursework in their chosen field.

Application for Fall 2021 Cohort

Selection Process:

  1. Submit your application for admission to Gateway Community & Technical College, including request of high school and any college transcripts.
  2. Complete your Federal Application for Student Financial Aid (FASFA). The FAFSA will ask you to provide federal school codes for all schools you want your FAFSA information sent to. Gateway's Federal School Code is: 013753.
  3. Complete Apprenticeship Academy interest form below.
  4. Apprenticeship Project Manager will reach out to you and share more details about the program and the onboarding process.
  5. You will be paired with an advisor and success coach and will be enrolled in classes.
