According to research, 8th grade math is more indicative of life success than 3rd grade reading level. Shroder High School has developed an innovative program to address this fact and are seeking tutors for their Math Lab. This is a great way to help students while exposing them to Gateway. Training is provided and no prior experience necessary because tutors work from a set curriculum, which includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions. Tutors will simply need a background check and commit to serving at least 1 hour/week. The next training is scheduled for 11/28/2018. Contact Kristen Smitherman-Voltaire for more details about this opportunity!
Join us for Treats with Santa! Bring your kids, get your pictures taken with Santa, eat some treats, and make some fun holiday crafts. Please bring non-perishable food items to donate to Gateway's Food for Thought Pantry. How much food can we collect while we enjoy the season?
Can’t make it? You can still drop off donations for the pantry at any campus Information Commons.
