The Fire/Rescue Science Technology program offers training to volunteer, combination and career fire departments as well as businesses, industries, ambulance services and rescue squads across Kentucky. Much of the training qualifies for college credit; credits earned are recorded by the college. Training provided by State Fire Rescue Training staff may be acquired and accumulated to fulfill core curriculum components for program credentials. Specific course requirements for an associates degree, diploma or certificate are available from the Fire/Rescue Training Coordinator. Students wishing to seek a credential will be required to meet college entrance requirements and pay associated fees for registration. EMT training is provided to fire, rescue and other emergency response agencies as well as business, industry, institutional and governmental agencies. Contact the Area Fire/Rescue Training Coordinator at 859-442-4136 for more details about the Emergency Medical Technician program. Certification is awarded by the Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services.
