Gateway’s Automotive Program Receives Transmission Donation From Ford
On March 22, 2022, Ford Motor Company’s Sharonville Transmission Plant donated four transmissions to Gateway Community & Technical College’s Ford ASSET Automotive Repair Program.
These transmissions will be used to help Gateway’s Ford ASSET students learn how automatic transmissions work and how to disassemble and inspect for worn or damaged components.
“We are grateful to the Sharonville Transmission Plant for their donation,” said Sam Collier, Gateway’s Dean of Manufacturing and Transportation Technologies. “Receiving these transmissions will give Ford ASSET students the opportunity to work on newer technology.”
Gateway partners with Ford through offering the Ford ASSET program, a 24-month associate degree program offered only at 37 locations across the country. The academic requirements of this program ensure that ASSET students gain the same training credentials that Ford technicians earn in Ford Motor Company Training Centers.
