
Two More Community Leaders Join Gateway Foundation Board
The Gateway Community & Technical College Foundation today elected Candace S. McGraw, chief executive officer of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) and Jeanne Schroer, executive director of the Catalytic Development Funding Corp. of Northern Kentucky, as the newest members of its board of directors.We are so pleased to welcome Candace and Jeanne to the board, said Lee Flischel, chair of the Foundation board. They bring great insight from the transportation and real estate development industries. The Foundations initiatives to support Gateway's programs and services on behalf of students will be well-served by their efforts.
McGraw joined CVG as chief administrative officer in July 2009 and become CEO this past July. Prior to joining CVG, McGraw served in a number of positions at the Cleveland Airport System, including deputy director. She also served as general counsel for the Cleveland City Council as well as legal counsel and deputy director of charitable gaming for the Ohio Lottery Commission. She is a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati and serves on the boards of the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Chambers of Commerce, the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureaus, the Tri-county Economic Development Corporation and numerous other boards. McGraw received bachelors and masters degrees from Duquesne University and a juris doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. She is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the American Association of Airport Executives.
Before joining CDFC, which is a non-profit company that provides capital to real estate developers undertaking projects in Northern Kentuckys urban neighborhoods, Schroer served as interim director of the University of Cincinnati Real Estate Center and field service professor of real estate. Schroer continues to hold a teaching position at UC. She
has 25 years of experience as a real estate professional, including posts at the Urban Investment and Development Company in Chicago and executive positions at Corporex Companies and Tipton Associates. Schroer earned a bachelors degree in urban planning and a certificate in economics from UC and an MBA from Indiana University. She is active in numerous community activities related to real estate and development and currently serves on the executive boards of the Covington Business Council and Renaissance Covington, as well as the Vision 2015 Regional Stewardship Council, and the Vision 2015 Economic Competitiveness Working Group.
