Smoking Cessation Program at Gateway Urban Campus
Quitting smoking can be one of the toughest habits to break, but its not impossible. Research shows that the single greatest predictor of success in quitting is how many times you have tried. The St. Elizabeth Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is here to help. The EAP will have a provider on site Thursday, August 21, 12 1 p.m., at the Gateway Urban Center, Room 202. This session will inform you about the Cooper Clayton Smoking Cessation program. EAP will conduct a 13 -week on site group to help put you in the best position to be a non-smoker/dipper.
Using the Cooper-Clayton method of Smoking Cessation, the EAP can help teach some valuable and evidence based strategies along with the ongoing support of a group format to become tobacco free. This program is free for Gateway Students and Employees. Cooper Clayton sessions begin Tuesday, September 9, 12- 1 p.m., at the Gateway Urban Center, Room 202. Participants may bring lunch. There will be a maximum of 25 participants. Please register by September 5, 2014.
