Gateway's Fall Plumbing CEU Courses Begin In September

The Workforce Solutions Division of Gateway Community & Technical College is offering nearly a dozen continuing education courses for journeyman and master plumbers between now and Thanksgiving.

The courses will be offered on Saturdays at the Classroom and Training Building on Gateway's Boone Campus, 500 Technology Way, Florence. Each of the four-hour courses costs $60, which includes lunch. The campus offers free parking.

Three classes will be offered Sept. 25; they include 2010-2011 Continuing Education, 8 a.m. to noon; Asbestos Awareness, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.; and First Aid, CPR, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The asbestos and first-aid classes are safety-approved. Registration deadline is Sept. 22.

Four classes are available on Oct. 23, including Water Supply/Distribution, 8 a.m. to noon; Confined Space, 8 a.m. to noon; Mold Awareness, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.; and Cash Flow Management, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The space and mold classes are safety-approved. Registration deadline is Oct. 20.

The final four fall classes will be conducted Nov. 20. They are Lead Awareness, 8 a.m. to noon; 2010-2011 Continuing Education, 8 a.m. to noon; Asbestos Awareness, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.; and Business Finance, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. The lead and asbestos classes are safety-approved. The registration deadline is Nov. 17.
