Gateway Students Can Volunteer for Covingtons Great American Cleanup

This spring, you can help your community by participating in a local cleanup, beautification and community improvement program, the Great American Cleanup. Millions of residents across the country are taking part in this springtime campaign to clean up and beautify communities all across America. The Great American Cleanup is brought to you by Keep Covington Beautiful in partnership with Keep America Beautiful, Inc., the City of Covington and the Center for Great Neighbor-hoods.

Why should you do it? The Great American Cleanup is a fun, educational, outdoor, springtime activity. Prior to the event date, April 21, your group will be provided with trash bags and gloves for litter collection. Water will also be provided to volunteers. Volunteerism also looks great on a resume and scholarship applications!

The Great American Cleanup will take place on April 21, 9 a.m. 12 p.m. Volunteers can meet at Goebel Park in Mainstrasse or at Roebling Point by the Roebling Bridge. Contact Keep Covington Beautiful for more information.
