
Gateway Students and Employees Team Up to Fight Cancer
Gateway Community & Technical College students and employees from the Massage Therapy department and the schools Phi Theta Kappa honor society participated in the annual Kenton County Relay for Life. The overnight relay-style fundraiser was held at Dixie Heights High School in Crestview Hills, Ky., earlier this month.The Gateway participants raised more than $1,700 to be donated to the American Cancer Society to assist in the fight against cancer. To help fundraise, Lance Nelson, Gateway's massage therapy coordinator, and his team offered massages and Phi Theta Kappa members sold snacks and hosted carnival games.
we've had more participation this year than in years past, said Jessica Glover, Phi Theta Kappa staff advisor. We are excited to be able to help the American Cancer Society and looking forward to participating in the future.
