
Gateway Schedules Fifth Annual College Open House and Career Pathways Expo for April 1
Gateway Community & Technical College will conduct its fifth annual College Open House and Career Pathway Expo April 1 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the colleges Boone Campus.This event is a great opportunity for prospective students and their families to learn more about many of the educational programs we offer, as well as meet representatives of business and industry, said Dr. Anthony Clarke, chair of Gateway's Manufacturing and Trades Technologies Division and event organizer. People interested in updating their skills or creating a new future can find out about our programs, financial aid, and admissions and also talk to people who actually perform the jobs they're interested in every day.
Careers in advanced manufacturing, criminal justice, allied health and energy will be featured. Specific programs of study that will be highlighted include Air Conditioning Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, Electrical Technology, Energy Technology, Fire Science/Rescue Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Massage Therapy, Mechatronics, Medical Assisting, Medical Information Technology, and Welding Technology.
The expo is free and open to the public. The Boone Campus is located at 500 Technology Way off Sam Neace Boulevard and the Mt. Zion Road exit of I/71-75.
