Gateway Community & Technical College officially opened its new bookstore on the Urban Metro Campus with an open house and ribbon cutting today.
Legislators, city and county officials, Gateway leadership, students, faculty and staff enjoyed refreshments and music as they celebrated the opening of the Gateway Bookstore at 614 Madison Avenue. This location is one of two Gateway bookstores and will replace the store at the Amsterdam Road Campus. In addition to textbooks, the store offers class supplies and retail merchandise to students and the downtown Covington community.
This 7000 square foot facility has two retail floors and a third floor that will serve as a meeting space and high-tech learning area for the college and community.
Barnes and Noble has been a great partner to Gateway, and we are pleased to host this flagship store for our students, said Dr. Keith Bird, interim president, Gateway Community & Technical College. We applaud the vision that has brought this facility to fruition.
