Gateway Offers Project Management Professional Exam Preparation Course

The Workforce Solutions Division of Gateway Community & Technical College will offer a preparation course for people interested in taking the PMP (Project Management Professional) certification course through the Project Management Institute.

Dr. Ihab Saad, certified PMP and registered professional engineer in Egypt and Qatar, will teach the course. Dr. Saad has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, primarily in civil/construction project management, and has received university and national awards for instruction. He has worked for a top 10 worldwide project management firm, and his experience includes roles as a field engineer, cost engineer, senior scheduler and project manager.

The course will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at The Bank of Kentucky Classroom amp; Training Center on Gateway's Boone Campus, 500 Technology Way, Florence. Classes will be taught from 5 to 9 p.m. beginning Nov. 12 and ending Dec. 12. No classes will occur the week of Nov. 25.

The cost is $1,000 per person. Kentucky employers paying for an employees course fee may be eligible for KY WINS funding. For information on KY WINS, contact Christi Dover at (859) 442-1684.

Certification eligibility requirements are located at www.pmi.org. Course registration deadline for companies interested in applying for KY WINS funding is Oct. 28; the deadline for others wishing to register is Nov. 8.
