
Gateway Offering Workplace and Beginning Spanish Classes
The Workforce Solutions Division of Gateway Community & Technical College is offering separate courses this spring designed to increase Spanish-speaking skills for everyday and workplace use.Workplace Spanish for Customer Service will be taught from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from March 21 to April 18 at the colleges Boone Campus at 500 Technology Way in Florence.
The course focuses on terms that will enable students to deliver excellent customer service, including greetings, dates and times, account and payment phrases, customer identification, service phrases and much more. The $160 cost of the course includes materials. Registration deadline is March 14.
Spanish for Beginners will be offered from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 27 through May 1 at the colleges Urban Center at 525 Scott Boulevard in Covington. Class will not meet April 5 or April 12. This fun starter course focuses on greetings and conversational phrases to help students begin speaking Spanish. The registration deadline is March 23 for this $99 class.
