
Gateway Launches WinStar Professional Training Program
Gateway Community & Technical College, through its Workforce Solutions Division, is launching WinStar: The Five Points of Professionalism, a series of four-hour workshops that teach participants how to achieve the highest service rating in their respective industries.The WinStar program consists of five topic areas: Customer Service and Communication, Supervisory Skills, Sales Techniques, Teambuilding, and Diversity. The cost of each workshop is $99 with dates beginning March 17, 2010.
Participants may choose to register for some or all of the workshops; those who attend all five topic areas will receive a certificate recognizing completion of WinStar: The Five Points of Professionalism.
The WinStar workshops will meet on Wednesday mornings from 8 a.m. 12 p.m. at the Gateway's Boone Campus, 500 Technology Way, Florence, KY. Specific topic details and dates are as follows:
Customer Service and Communication: March 17, 2010
Improve customer retention and satisfaction by sharpening customer service skills inside and outside the organization.
Supervisory Skills: April 14, 2010
Reduce employee turnover and increase engagement through examination and practice of the foundational qualities of effective leadership .
Sales Techniques: April 28, 2010
Sharpen sales skills with techniques designed to increase your network of prospects and improve your closing ability.
Teambuilding: May 19, 2010
Learn what makes a strong team and how to harness the power of teams to help your business reach its fullest potential.
Diversity: June 16, 2010
Maximize the creativity and effectiveness of your workforce by recognizing, acknowledging, and enabling the synergistic effects of individual differences. Learn techniques to avoid bias, stereotyping, and prejudging.
