
Gateway Launches New KCTCS Student Service Center
Gateway Community & Technical College said today it is launching the first phase of a new service center that will respond to student questions seven days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The toll-free number is 855-3GO-GCTC or 855-346-4282.
The service center will provide anytime, anywhere access for our students, said Ingrid Washington, vice president of student development and Gateway's service center implementation leader. This means students will have access to information outside of the colleges normal business hours, as well as the opportunity for live chat and online services through a help desk at www.help.gateway.kctcs.edu.
Washington said the service center not only will improve access for students, it should enable increased efficiency for student services staff.
The Kentucky Community and Technical College System began implementing a service center model in July when three of the systems 16 colleges launched a similar effort. Gateway is one of seven additional KCTCS colleges launching the service this month. The remaining colleges are scheduled to launch the model early next year.
Gateway will maintain two main numbers until a second phase of the service center
rolls out in a few months. People may call either 855-3GO-GCTC or (859) 441-4500 to
