Read about Jaime Trejo, a recent graduate from Gateway who is featured as our Super Someday Hall of Fame success story.
Jaime Trejo is a 2014 graduate of Gateway Community & Technical College. He has an
associate degree in business administration.
During his time at Gateway he was involved as much as possible. Trejo was a member
of organizations like the diversity team, Student Government Association, and was
inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. His hard work and dedication during
those years paid off. He was awarded the Student Government Association officer position
for 2014, and also received the GAP Funding Memorial Scholarship.
After graduation Trejo didn't know where he was going to continue his education.
Mr. Michael Lee at Gateway changed that. Lee helped Trejo get a two-year transfer
scholarship to Kentucky State University. Today, Trejo is a student at Kentucky State
University (KSU), pursuing a bachelor degree in business administration and preparing
to be a member of the KSU football team.
Trejo is also involved with the Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship organization, a bible
study group. They assist the community by doing community service projects.
