Gateway honors Vets with free haircuts

Gateway Community & Technical College and Emerge Hair Studio amp; Spa will honor veterans, active military and first responders on Nov. 11 with free haircuts and chair massages at Gateway's student run enterprise, Emerge, in Covington.

We are grateful for the service veterans, active military and first responders provide to our country and community, said Dr. Keith Bird, Gateway interim president/CEO. I applaud the students, staff and faculty at Emerge for honoring them in this way.

All active military, veterans and first responder will receive a complimentary haircut or chair massage at Emerge on Veterans Day from 10 a.m. 8 p.m., at 438 Scott Boulevard, Covington, Ky. Participants are asked to show an ID.

Gateway, named by Military Times as a top 20 Best for Vets college three years in a row, and recently a Military Friendly employer, values the service and experience of those who have served our country. After a haircut or massage, veterans are invited to visit Gateway's VET Center just down the street at 525 Scott Boulevard to learn more about how Gateway serves veterans.
