
Frank And Parsons Elected To Board Of Gateway Community And Technical College Foundation
Steven L. Frank and James Parsons have been elected to the board of the Gateway Community
& Technical College Foundation.
Frank is first vice president of investments for Wells Fargo Advisors. A certified
financial planner, he was named Five Star Wealth Manager by Cincinnati Magazine in
its September 2008 and 2009 issues. He is past president of the Northern Kentucky
Estate Planning Council, as well as past president and board member of the Financial
Planning Association of Greater Cincinnati. He served on the Financial Planning Associations
National Professional Issues Committee for Ethical Standard for three years. He currently
serves on the Board of Advisors for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, the
Chambers Infrastructure and Transportation Committee and has co-chaired the Major
Donor Committee and Planned Gifts for the Arthritis Foundation for three years. He
is also chair of Rotary Internationals Permanent Fund Initiative for Eastern Kentucky
District 6740 and served as co-chair for the Twenty Third Niehoff Lecture for the
Mercantile Library.
Frank is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning in Denver and received a
Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville and is a graduate of Covington
Latin School.
Parsons is an attorney with Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. A resident of Newport,
he has had a 31-year career as a public servant, including positions as Newport city
solicitor, Newport city manager, Boone County administrator and deputy county judge-executive.
Parsons serves on the board of directors of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce,
is active with Kentucky Habitat for Humanity, and is a member of the Brighton Center
Executive Committee and the Kentucky School Facilities Construction Committee. Parsons
is a recipient of the Northern Kentucky University Professional Achievement Award
and led revitalization efforts in Newport that resulted in such projects at Riverfront
Place, the Newport Aquarium and Newport on the Levee. Parsons successfully defended
the City of Newport in litigation before the United States Supreme Court.
