
Fares Da Silva Joins Gateway As Spanish Instructor
Gateway Community & Technical College has appointed Fares Da Silva to the position of Spanish instructor, according to Dr. G. Edward Hughes, Gateway president and chief executive officer.
In this position, Da Silva will teach full-time in beginning Spanish sections courses.
Da Silva taught English as a second language and is previously served as a full-time
instructor of Spanish classes for Indiana State University. He served as an adjunct
instructor at Ivy Tech Community College. Da Silva taught ESL classes to children,
adolescents and adults in Brazil, South America, for three years. He is a private
Portuguese, ESL and Spanish language tutor in the United States. He holds a masters
degree from Indiana State University in cross linguistics, with emphasis in ESL and
Spanish, and a masters degree from Grace College and Seminary in Counseling Psychology.
