Gateway to add three CIT certificate evening classes
Beginning this fall, Gateway Community & Technical College will offer three hybrid evening courses in the computer and information technologies program. These three courses will prepare students for either A+, Net+ or Security+ certification exams.
These classes were added to increase offerings in the evening at the Urban Metro Campus. Gateway’s short-term, one-class certificate programs help lead to quick access to the workforce as well as higher wages.
CIT 111, Computer Hardware and Software, prepares students for the A+ certificate exam. This course will run August 13 to December 9, meeting in class on Tuesday evenings, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
CIT 160, Intro to Networking Concepts, prepares students for the Net+ certificate exam. This course will run August 13 to December 9, meeting in class on Tuesday evenings, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
CIT 180, Security Fundamentals, prepares students for the Security+ certification exam. August 13 to December 9, meeting in class on Thursday evenings, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
