Gateway serves with Maslow’s Army to kick off season of giving

Published on Nov 20, 2017

Yesterday, Gateway Community & Technical College students, employees, and their families celebrated National Homelessness Awareness Month by serving beside Maslow's Army, a nonprofit organization founded by Gateway alumni Susan and Sam Landis, to provide food, clothing, blankets and a smile to less fortunate in Cincinnati.

The Gateway Foundation sponsored Sunday’s Maslow’s Army event which has been going on every Sunday in Fountain Square for almost a year. Over 40 volunteers, including Gateway students and staff, gathered in Cincinnati's Fountain Square to combat homelessness and fight the opioid epidemic in the region. Over 130 individuals were served Sunday.

The Gateway Foundation is committed to Fueling the Hope in our region. Community giving through organizations like Maslow’s Army is just one way the Foundation gives back. Find more information about the Foundation, or how to get involved with Gateway’s season of giving here.
