Student Refund InformationThe Fall 2010 Term has already started and with this comes the disbursement of your Financial Aid and student refunds. As of September 17, if you have already accepted your Financial Aid award amounts (grants, loans, etc.), started the semester August 16, and completed all the needed steps for any Direct Student Loans, you should start to see funds on your student account by 3 p.m. on September 17.
Once the funds have been received on your student account, then Gateway must pay any tuition, bookstore charges or any other charges before we can post any refund amount to Higher One, which handles our refunds to students at Gateway. Any Financial Aid funds (loans, grants, etc.) that are disbursed on your student account will be refundable and made available to students on September 23 after 2 p.m.
If you have accepted a Direct Student Loan and have not seen a disbursement on your student account by 3 p.m. September 17, then please ensure you have completed all of the needed steps with your Direct Student Loans. An instruction sheet to complete the Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note will need to be completed in order for your loan to disburse onto your student account. If you have completed the Entrance Counseling and the Master Promissory Note and still do not see a disbursement of your Direct Student Loan, then please contact the Financial Aid Office at 859-442-1165.
