Renee Kesterson-Klein Receives Gateway Presidents Award

Renee Kesterson-Klein of Florence received the Presidents Award May 15 as the most outstanding member of the Gateway Community & Technical College class of 2014.

The Presidents Award is given annually by the college to a student who has made significant contributions to the overall development of the college. Faculty and staff nominate candidates for the award.
Kesterson-Klein received an associate in applied science degree and graduated with a 4.0 grade point average. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force and the mother of two sons.

Renee has proved to be an exceptional contributor to the Northern Kentucky community, to Gateway student organizations, and in the classroom, said Ed Hughes, Gateway president/CEO. She is intelligent, organized and focused, always willing to assist others and tends to lead by setting the highest standards for herself.

At Gateway, Renee has been incredibly involved in numerous leadership activities, has mentored fellow students, and has served admirably in the Phi Theta Kappa academic honorary, as a peer tutor and with the Gateway VETS organization, Hughes added.
