Gateway Conducting Edgewood Campus Workshops for Spring Semester Admissions
Gateway Community & Technical College will offer a series of information sessions
and financial aid workshops at its Edgewood Campus on a bi-weekly basis this fall
to help prospective students apply for admissions and financial aid.
Admissions information sessions will occur between 3 and 4 p.m. in Room E210 at the
Student Services Center on the Edgewood Campus at 790 Thomas More Parkway. Admissions
representatives will discuss how to apply, available academic programs, and the advising
process and provide a brief overview of financial aid.
Financial aid workshops will follow from 4 to 5 p.m. in in the same location. Prospective
students who bring their 2012 federal income tax returns can receive on-site assistance
with filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
No reservations are necessary. Dates for these sessions are Sept. 18; Oct. 2 and 9;
Nov. 6 and 20; and Dec. 4 and 11.
Spring semester classes at Gateway begin Jan. 13, and spring registration for new
students begins Oct. 15. Completing the admissions and financial aid process early
is advised to be eligible for more categories of financial aid and to enable signing
up for classes as soon as registration begins. Classes fill up fast, so its better
to be admitted for the spring semester as early in the fall as possible, said Andre
Washington, dean of enrollment management.
