Gateway Offers Free College Course In Kentucky Manufacturing Skills

Gateway Community and Technical College is offering a free Kentucky Manufacturing Skills Standard Level II Training and Testing class from May 17 to June 23 at the Boone Campus in Florence.

Participants will earn two hours of college credit, valued at $260 total, and a credential that recognizes knowledge of manufacturing. The course teaches skills in
communications, teamwork, math, workplace safety, quality, blueprint reading, and manufacturing fundamentals.

The class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 3:30 p.m. in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at the Boone Campus at 500 Technology Way, Florence. A high school diploma or GED is required to enroll in the class, which is sponsored by the United Way and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
