Gateway Offers Fall Workplace Spanish Course for Hospitality IndustryGateway Community & Technical College, through its Workforce Solutions Division, will offer a Workplace Spanish course customized for workers in the hotel, motel and hospitality industry. The course meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Aug. 23 and ending Oct. 6.
The class is designed to improve communication and teamwork between employers and Hispanic employees. No prior Spanish-speaking experience is required. Participants will learn more than 1,200 Spanish words and phrases that enable improved customer service and property maintenance. Using a course manual and audio CDs, participants learn Spanish terms used in basic expression, hiring and supervision and hotel functions .
Course cost is $195 per person. The class meets in Room 208 of the Classroom and Training Building at Gateway's Boone Campus, 500 Technology Way, Florence.
