CMT Casting Call At Gateways Boone Campus March 17

For all those aspiring TV stars, this is a special alert: CMT is coming to town March 17 for an open casting call for a new documentary series, CMT Made, that will air later this year on Country Music Television.

Interviews for the show will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Boone Campus of Gateway Community and Technical College in Florence. CMT producers will be on hand at the colleges Center for Advanced Manufacturing to interview candidates for the show. The interview process begins in Room 202.

The shows premise is similar to the Emmy-award-winning MTV version of Made, except it aims at people who appear to be between the ages of 25 and 50.

According to CMTs website, MTV Made has helped hundreds of teens transform their lives by pursuing their dreams. CMT Made is coming to CMT to give parents and professionals an opportunity to pursue a lifelong dream they may have put on hold.
During the interview, participants will have a chance to talk about their unrealized goal. It could be anything from trying to get back into an old cheerleading uniform, swinging at the pitch that got away, or learning to dance like a star. The show is designed to be fun and family oriented, and CMT is seeking people with personalities, according to a CMT spokesperson.
For more information on the show and casting call, visit the CMT website at http://www.cmt.com/shows/dyn/made/series_featured_copy.jhtml.

We are just providing a venue; we are not involved with the show, said Laura Cook Kroeger, Gateway vice president of resource development and external affairs. Were pleased to welcome the public to our facilities at any time, and this opportunity dovetails so well with our student population and the colleges own vision to help people achieve success. We will also offer admissions information to people while they are waiting for their interview.

The Boone Campus is located at 500 Technology Way in Florence off Exit 178 of I-71/75. Parking is plentiful and free. For specific directions to the campus, visit http://www.gateway.kctcs.edu/About_Us/Maps_and_Directions.
