Sarah Young, Gateway alum and employee (Community Resource Success Coach) shared her story at the Evening of Gratitude and again at the Gateway Foundation and Gateway Board meetings. She shared, “Five seconds, that’s all it took to change my life.” She was referring to people inside and outside of Gateway who took five seconds to encourage her to pursue education—a pathway that lead to an associate degree from Gateway and eventually a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. She now has the opportunity to take those 5 seconds to change the lives of Gateway students. How will you take 5 seconds to change a life?
