Gateway Community & Technical College is committed to creating a campus environment that values the exploration, appreciation, and celebration of diversity while promoting inclusiveness, multiculturalism, and global awareness.
The DEI Center serves underrepresented students (URS) who demonstrate the potential to succeed but who might encounter economic, cultural, or institutional impediments to their completion of their program of study. Our mission is to provide URS with support services and scholarship resources that empower them to complete their program of study at Gateway and serve as active citizen leaders in their communities. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Gateway is not a cookie cutter, one size fits all solution. It is a culture that expects commitment and intention to create a diverse and inclusive workplace where employees, students, and community partners feel valued and empowered.
