Gateway Foundation

Foundation Board Chairman Lee Flischel signs the official documents to sell the Foundation’s Park Hills property as attorney Joshua Markham looks on. The sale of Park Hills is the first step in the plan to eventually vacate the Covington/Park Hills campus area for the new urban campus in the heart of downtown Covington. The proposed urban campus will be on a bus route and much more accessible to the river cities’ population base. Classes have more than doubled the past few months in Gateway’s Urban Center located in the former Two Rivers Middle School. The Gateway Community and Technical College Foundation was founded to support the mission of the College by raising funds and awareness throughout the community. It is a separate not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 organization. Its 22-member board of directors is composed of community leaders from throughout the Tri-State region who seek resources to assist the college. The purchase of the Park Hills Center for additional classroom space is just one bold way that the Foundation has lent assistance. It has also held fundraisers and sponsors our first major gifts campaign.

Corporations, foundations, alumni, employees and friends of higher education have all made investments in the future of Gateway. Whether it is a scholarship fund or contribution toward a building or classroom, the return on investment is priceless.
