GCTC Speech Team

Speak Up. Stand Out!

The GCTC Speech Team is designed to provide students the opportunity to hone their public speaking, debate and presentation skills through tournament competitions at regional colleges and universities. The confidence, competence and character gained through forensics experience benefit students as they move on to universities and enter the professional world.

The GCTC speech Team competes in all National Forensic Association (NFA) sanctioned events as well as National Parliamentary Debate Association (NPDA) style debate.

The GCTC Speech Team is also a chapter member of Phi Rho Pi, a national organization for students interested in public speaking, debate or similar forensic activities. Phi Rho Pi provides opportunities for competition and tournaments at the college level. Any student interested in speech activities may join at the associate level upon recommendation of the chapter sponsor. Additional membership levels are available to students with more advanced presentation skills.

You would like to learn how to speak up and stand out by competing on the GCTC Speech Team please let us know. No prior experience is necessary.
