College Level Exam Program (CLEP)

The College-Level Examination Program, or CLEP, provides students of any age with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of computer exams in undergraduate general education college courses.

The CLEP is a national program of credit-by-examination sponsored by the College Entrance Board. These examinations may be taken at our Assessment Center. You may earn a maximum of 45 college credits through general or subject exams. We are a recognized CLEP testing center, so CLEP testing is also available for students from other colleges and universities. Scores may be sent to other institutions for applicable college credit. Please call (859) 442-1159 for more information and scheduling. There are official College Board CLEP study guides and practice tests available at each Gateway campus library.
