Advising

Good advising is an integral part of helping you determine a course of action that is appropriate for your individual needs, goals, and abilities.

All students entering Gateway Community and Technical College must see an advisor in the Academic Advising Center to receive proper advisement into their program of choice. Students needing any developmental courses will remain in the Advising Center until successful completion of their developmental sequence. Students with no developmental needs are assigned to a faculty advisor in their desired program. Once assigned to a faculty advisor, you have access to self enroll and must contact your faculty advisor for any advising needs.

Students who are new, currently in developmental classes, undecided or considered non-credential will remain assigned to the Advising Center. Any student who wishes to change his/her program of study should come back to the Advising Center to be reassigned to the new program faculty advisor.
