After obtaining an Associate’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree, and while studying in graduate school, I worked in a counseling type career. I’ve always been extremely interested in economic change, especially now with changing times, and someday I want to help the United States become energy efficient. Education has been extremely important to me, but it’s not everything. In order to be successful in this new career path, I need some type of practical, hands-on experience. I looked at all of my options, and felt that Gateway was the best place to gain what I was looking for. At Gateway, I feel that graduates can earn greater skill and familiarity with the subjects they are studying than they would be able to do at a four-year school. Not to mention that the price is incredible. Many people get overwhelmed when they consider the cost of a college education, but Gateway is exceptionally affordable and the staff can help you find all the possible financial help you could get. Gateway allows for great networking connections that will help students in their future careers. The instructors are phenomenal, and the campus atmosphere truly allows for success in the classroom and outside of it. There is always plenty of space to study, it is never crowded, and it is easier here for students to stay focused—unlike some experiences I’ve had at large universities. I’ve just recently started this chapter of my journey, and I’m not sure where it’ll lead me. I’m excited to be a part of a growing community of campuses at Gateway and I look forward to the rest of my future here.
