Gateway will roll out the S.M.A.R.T. Plan in four separate stages. The first stage will begin on March 1, 2014, and will include the Protective and Professional Services Division, the Business Design and Technology Division, and Undecided students. Stage two will begin on March 1, 2015. This second stage will include the AA and the AS Divisions. The Manufacturing and Technology Divisions will start on October 1, 2015. Finally, the Allied Health and Nursing programs will begin on March 1, 2016.
Currently, six QEP leadership teams are working to create the policy, procedures, and documents required for the successful implementation of our S.M.A.R.T. Plan in the Spring 2014 semester. Each team is made up of a cross-section of faculty and staff across the college, touching every division and department. Each team’s goal is to complete its outcomes by May 31, 2013, so that Gateway can use the Fall 2013 semester for professional development and refinement.
Meanwhile, the QEP Director has begun an initiative to attend division and department meetings to share current QEP progress and solicit feedback.
If you should have any additional questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact Gateway’s QEP Director, Dr. Kerri McKenna, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
