Gateway Community and Technical College will be closed for a professional development day on Thursday, April 2, 2015. The college will close all offices at noon on Friday, April 3. There are no classes on Saturday, April 4, and the college will remain closed. The college will reopen for normal operations at 7 a.m., Monday, April 6.

Rock D. Neelly, English professor at Gateway Community and Technical College, published his first novel entitled “The Purple Heart Detective Agency” with Eric Beebe of Cincinnati’s Post Mortem Press.

Today Gateway and Ashland are competing in a Twitter contest as part of a promotion for Transfer Madness, an online transfer fair sponsored by the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). The game started by pairing up each of the 16 KCTCS colleges against a KCTCS college of the same size for a sweet 16 tweet-off.

The Duke Energy Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant to Gateway Community and Technical College Foundation. The Grant will help support the Gateway Foundation’s efforts to help the college develop the Urban Metro Campus in downtown Covington.
